The Core Standards for guardians of separated children have been developed to inform, guide and influence parties involved in guardianship for separated children, including guardians, social workers, guardianship organizations and State authorities. The Core Standards for guardians aim to provide a guardianship instrument to all European countries, irrespective of the the different guardianship systems in every country.
The international report starts with an explanation on the development of the Core Standards for Guardians of separated children, followed with background information on how to use the Core Standards. The Core Standards and indicators are listed together with a frame of reference and a future perspective for the Core Standards. The legislative and policy framework is provided in Appendix 1.
